ABOUT PARALLAX
WHAT IS PARALLAX?
Parallax-Media is a vibrant network consisting of Parallax Publishing, Parallax Academy, the Parallax Community, and the Parallax Podcasts.
Parallax-Media offers new journalism, fresh perspectives, and untold stories in philosophy, politics, art, and spirituality. Its work spans courses, seminars, podcasts, books, and essays, all dedicated to opening new ways of seeing.
Post-ideological in spirit, Parallax-Media is enthusiastic, exploratory, and committed to tracking emerging cultural developments at the very edge of contemporary thought.
The term parallax comes from the ancient Greek παράλλαξις (parállaxis), meaning a shift in the observer’s viewpoint. The name reflects our commitment to psychoactive, alternative sensemaking beyond mainstream narratives and rigid ideologies. Through close collaboration with various European “digital tribes,” Parallax-Media produces media and Bildung (education) to support social, cognitive, and spiritual development. It also aims to offer a distinctly European counterpoint to dominant Anglo-Saxon narratives.
