WHAT IS PARALLAX?
Parallax-Media is a a vibrant network composed out pf Parallax Publishing, Parallax Academy, the Parallax Community and the Parallax Podcasts
Parallax-Media offers new journalism and new perspectives and new untold stories stories in philosophy, politics, art and spirituality — offering courses, seminars, podcasts, books and essays.
Parallax-Media is post-ideological, enthusiastic and exploratory, aiming to catch new developments at the very edge of culture and to amplify them.
The word ‘parallax’ stems from the old greek παράλλαξις parállaxis, which means to shift the viewpoint of the observer. The name suggests psychoactive and alternative sensemaking, as opposed to mainstream narratives and ideologies. Through our work with various european ‘digital tribes’, Parallax-Media creates media and Bildung (education) to promote social, cognitive and spiritual development. Moreover, Parallax-Media aims provide a european counterpoint to the dominant anglo-saxon narratives.
Who is Parallax?
Parallax-Media was founded in 2019 Tom Amarque . In spring 2020 Andrew Sweeny joined the effort to expand the project. Cordula Frei joined 2024.
Tom Amarque is writer, philosopher, podcast host, editor & publisher. He lives in Palma, Spain.
Cordula Frei is an internationally active author and psycho-spiritual teacher with a focus on consciousness development, especially voice dialogue and deep ecology. As former co-editor of the magazine Info 3 and head of digital media at the Integral Forum Germany, she was also co-editor of the magazine ACHRONON.
Andrew Sweeny is a writer, teacher, popular blogger, published poet, podcaster and musician. He lives in Fountainbleu, France.
