Course: Rewilding the Soul — Ecopsychology, Ritual, and the Great Turning
with CoRDula Frei
Course Overview
In an era marked by ecological upheaval and existential uncertainty, Rewilding the Soul offers a transformative six-month journey into the heart of deep ecology, ecopsychology, and embodied ritual.
Guided by Cordula Frei this course invites you to remember your place within the living web of Earth, to honour connectedness as a sacred teacher, and to awaken the integral consciousness that Jean Gebser described as the next evolutionary unfolding of the human spirit.
In this course, we journey beyond the surface of ecological crisis to the deeper roots of meaning embedded in human culture and consciousness. Drawing inspiration from Jeremy Lent’s seminal work and book, The Web of Meaning, we explore how our civilization’s prevailing worldview—a fragmented, anthropocentric mindset—has contributed to the ecological and social disarray we now face.
Lent’s research reveals that at the heart of our global challenges lies a disconnection from the intricate web of relationships that sustain life. His integrative approach bridges cutting-edge science with ancient wisdom traditions, revealing that our survival depends on restoring a worldview grounded in interconnectedness, reciprocity, and respect for all beings.
This course invites you to embody this vital shift. Through immersive practices rooted in ecopsychology, deep ecology, and ritual, we awaken to our role as integral threads in the living web of Earth. As Jeremy Lent emphasizes, finding our place in this vast network reconnects us with a profound sense of belonging and purpose, enabling personal and planetary healing to unfold in tandem.
Together, we will engage with the patterns of meaning that have shaped human experience across time—honoring ancestral knowledge while opening to the integral consciousness that Jean Gebser describes. In this course, we become not only fractals of the whole, were each part reflects the sacred unity of the cosmos but indeed we turn into a sense of reconnection of embracing the whole.
With Voice dialogue, shamanic practice, and poetic reflection through journaling, this course supports a transformative healing journey. It offers a pathway to metabolize the grief and fear of division and anxiety into inspired action, nurturing the emergence of a regenerative culture where humans live in harmony with the Earth and all its sentient beings.
Join us to rediscover your place within the great web of life and cultivate the wisdom, courage, and heart needed to co-create a flourishing future.
This is not merely a course—it is a rite of passage. Through monthly live sessions, pre-recorded teachings, home practices, and a supportive community, you will engage in practices that reconnect you with the more-than-human world, awaken your ecological self, and empower you to participate in the Great Turning—a collective shift towards a life-sustaining society.
Why This Course?
Ecopsychology teaches us that the disconnection from nature is not only an environmental crisis but also a psychological one. Theodore Roszak, a pioneer in this field, emphasized that our personal well-being is intrinsically linked to the health of the planet. By healing our relationship with the Earth, we heal ourselves.
Deep ecology, as articulated by pioneer Arne Naess, challenges the anthropocentric worldview and calls for a profound shift in consciousness—a recognition of the intrinsic value of all living beings and the ecosystems that sustain them. This course embodies that shift, guiding you to experience the world not as a collection of objects but as a communion of subjects.
Through integrative practices that blend science, spirituality, and indigenous wisdom, learn to embody the principles of interconnectedness and co-creation. Engage in communal learning, reflective journaling, and embodied rituals to align your personal transformation with the healing of the Earth
